Hebrew Tutorials – It’s Easier Than You Think

by James DeMetselaer

If you are like me, you have always admired people who can speak two or more languages. And, if like me, you have been attracted to Hebrew, the original language of the Bible, but you thought it’s too difficult: the letters are strange, the language is strange, the language is read Right to Left instead of Left to Right, then I have good news for you. I have found a series of easy-to-use Software programs for Learning Hebrew. The first program is called “At Home With Hebrew”; the second program is “Hebrew Kindergarten”; and the third program is called “Shirei Ha-Shabbat.”

“At Home With Hebrew” is a cool Hebrew Tutorial. Many tutorial programs will give you a word and expect you to pronounce it – almost from the beginning, but, “At Home With Hebrew” is different. First, the creator/developer of the program, Neal Walters, is a professional teacher/trainer and student himself. He knows what it is like to learn a new language; so, he developed this program with regular people like you and me in mind.

France sometimes feels threatened by the ever increasing rise of new English words in the everyday language due to the internet, new technologies and other factors. Although it is a hot topic of conversation, the reality is that French is more and more spoken around the world and this trend will persist.

French is with English the only language that is spoken on all continents. There are about 200 million French speakers in the world. 72 million of them are classified as partial speakers. It ranks 9th in all spoken languages in terms of usage. French is spoken as a first or second language in 51 countries.
