Blessed Event: Tracy’s most renowned role has him as a Walter Winchell mock-up whose fiery line makes him famous but also lands him in hot water. Cast includes Roy Del Ruth. Lee Tracy, Mary Brian, Dick Powell, Emma Dunn, Blunt McHugh, Allen Jenkins, Ned Kindles, and Ruth Donnelly. (81 minutes, 1932)
Promises Promises: Horrible comedy in regards to couples Mansfield-Noonan and McDonald-Hargitay, and their sensual shenanigans on a voyage. It is famous in its night for Jayne’s baring her body, a first for its time. Still, take heed: it is a genuinely poor film. Rocky 5: Rocky Balboa is back at it in the 5th installation of this never ending series of fight films following the rags to riches hero’s entire career. China Girl: American photographer in the bizarre Orient throughout WW2 is background for incredible adventure story. Cast includes Gene Tierney, George Montgomery, Lynn Bari, Winner McLagen, Sig Ruman, Bobby Robert Cook, and Ann Pennington. (95 minutes, 1942)
