The company began promoted its privately minted silver and gold commemorative medallions and rounds. Soon enough it branched out and started producing other various kinds of collectible items.

The unique themes of the coins allowed the company to increase its customer base and produce some classic and different appealing designs. Some of the products were designed as a tribute to popular personalities.

The competitive pricing of the coins resulted in large orders consequently contributing to their popularity.

To increase the purchase price and get a better profit the Franklin mint company created unique wooden boxes to showcase the coins in a better way and make them more appealing. Special certificates authentication are also issued with each piece thereby enhancing the value of the purchase.

These features further enhanced the purchase price and the value of the Franklin Mint coins. However, when the company introduced these features to increase the purchase price, the cost of the metal silver started to increase in the global and domestic market.

In order to remain competitive and still retain the appeal of the income group they were looking to target, the company had to look for alternative materials like pewter and bronze. However they were not as well crafted with the sheen and sparkle of silver and these collectibles did not reach the popularity of the Franklin Mint Silver Coins.
