Among the most difficult aspects of meditating is discovering the perfect seated posture, since your legs often fall asleep during an extended period of meditating. Although there are meditation cushions to be had, there are many people who choose to use a meditation chair instead.

If you examine a meditation chair, the first thing you’ll discover is that it doesn’t seem that different from a kitchen chair. It has four legs and a back. But what it does better is help make you more comfy by molding to your body, which keeps cramps at bay and allows for total relaxation.

Love - Have Move Love In Your Life By Meditating

I learned about meditation over 20 years ago by noticing a flyer on a pole and deciding to go to the talk. I was fascinated, and started learning hatha yoga almost immediately after. Hatha yoga improved my health, posture, body stability, flexibility, concentration and focus. The main focus of hatha yoga was on improving ones health and flexibility.

After studying Hatha Yoga for years with the group I was with, I realized I couldn’t make maximum progress on this path without becoming like a monk. People on this path who continued eventually gave up all signs of outward “pleasurable” attachments, such as physical intimacy, pursuit of money and families. This outward renunciation did not suit me so after a few years I continued my search and happened upon “Surat Shabd Yoga”, where the renouncing was more inward. This is where I truly learned to “Love.”

Everyone will suffer pain at some point in their lives and strange as it may sound, some pain is necessary; it’s a signal from our brain that something is wrong which we need to address to protect our health and well-being. Pain can come from any type of injury, illness or condition but it is then our job to locate where the pain is originating from to stop it. Normally once the cause of the pain is treated, the pain will gradually disappear but not always.

Many of us have experienced this to a degree when we suffer a headache or a migraine but it also refers to conditions like arthritis and back pain. There are very few preventative action you can take to stop chronic pain and it can affect someone at anytime during their life from almost any situation from accident, injury or disease. It is also true to say that many people that suffer with chronic pain no longer have the condition which caused the problem as it has long since been cured but the pain persists, blighting their lives and gradually getting worse.

Although there are many options to obtain relaxation, people sometimes don’t understand how the mind actually creates a state of relaxation. You must be able to let your mind do its work by what amounts to significant visual stimulation.

At times when there is restricted activity within your field of vision, the sub-conscious part of the brain starts to fill in that lack of stimulation without your conscious effort.
