When deciding on what to put in your body, it is more about quality than quantity. Luckily for us, ImmunPlex Undenatured Whey Protein provides both. Undenatured whey protein contains the amino acid cysteine and is the highest quality in terms of nutritional value. Furthermore, undenatured whey protein provides peptides, vitamins and minerals that will work synergistically to create new muscle mass.

Recent scientific researches also prove that ImmunPlex undenatured whey protein isolate has antioxidant activities beneficial in scavenging free radicals such as oxyradicals that cause brain disorders. Neurological disorders such as schizophrenia and Down syndrome may be prevented by the increased intake of undenatured whey protein. The components of this food supplement responsible for such antioxidant activity are the glutathione precursors which function in protecting brain cells from death or necrosis.

Antioxidant Vitamins Guide

Friday, June 6th, 2008
by Jeff Glasser

The most commonly known antioxidant vitamins include vitamins E, C and A (also known as beta-carotene) and there is a whole range of minerals that contribute to their great effect and act as antidotes for old age. In order to understand the many benefits of antioxidant vitamins we need to realize what their impact is at the cellular level. They prevent free radicals, which are products released from cells during oxygenation, such as hydrogen peroxide from damaging tissue. The benefits of antioxidant vitamins are numerous.

The present-day focus is on the identification of those food items that represent a rich source of antioxidant vitamins. We need to mention that there are all sorts of antioxidant formulas sold in supplement form. The great benefits of antioxidant vitamins is usually noticeable in the fight against cancer, degenerative eye disease, nervous system decay and cardiovascular health problems. Furthermore, people who have a diet rich in antioxidants are better protected against infections since antioxidant vitamins and minerals are known to enhance the function of the immune system.

Heard about Resveratrol?

Thursday, June 5th, 2008
by Denise Richards

Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant which is found predominantly in the skin of grapes. This is produced as a defense mechanism against environmental stress by the plants. Resveratrol is also found in smaller quantities in lily, spruce and eucalyptus apart from being produced as diet supplements.

Wine which is produced from grapes is thus a good source of resveratrol. It is found more in red wine than in the white wine. This is due to the fact that the skins of grapes which are the main source of resveratrol is left longer during fermentation while processing and preparing red wine than the white wine.

Stacker Two with Ephedra

Thursday, June 5th, 2008
by Todd Massey

Why can’t I get ephedra diet pills anymore, you ask? The FDA and lawsuits that sent companies into bankruptcy that manufactured ephedra products for weight loss. The old news is the FDA banned ephedra and any type of product that contains ephedra a while back and most of the companies that made products like Stacker 2 with ephedra have gone bankrupt from lawsuits.

You will probably never find ephedra products in your neighborhood stores either because of the threat of lawsuits. Companies can’t get insurance to cover sales of ephedra products and simply don’t want to mess with it. These companies have moved to selling other weight loss products that are considered safer even though they are probably less effective.

The Truth About Hoodia, 60 Minutes, and the BBC Reports

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008
by Reagan Miers

After researching and writing on hoodia gordonii and hoodia supplements for years, I felt it was important to write an article about the hoodia 60 Minutes and BBC reports that are supposedly endorsing specific hoodia diet pills. The BBC and 60 Minutes never endorsed a specific hoodia diet pill. Any website that claims they did is lying.

It is all too common to see the words, “Endorsed by” or “As featured on” and then see the CBS 60 Minutes logo and the BBC logo on websites that are promoting or selling hoodia supplements. This makes people who are shopping for hoodia supplements believe that the products on these websites have been endorsed by 60 Minutes and the BBC. The truth is these two media companies never mentioned a specific hoodia diet pill, tested or endorsed one.

What Are The Health Benefits From Taking Health Supplements

Sunday, May 11th, 2008
by Ray Lam

What is your daily diet like these days, are you one of those individuals who’ve adopted a very strict eating regime, or are you one of the many who basically eat anything that’s there? The hungry horse type or person will even eat the out-of-date food from the refrigerator without batting an eyelid! You can’t help it, your favorite desert is in front of you in the kitchen and you just must have it. There are many people that do it, something that gives an instant high never considering how unhealthy this is and dismissing the better option of health supplements.

That may sound rather far fetched but many people do this but I would always warn against such irresponsible behavior. Maybe you need to think about the danger you are facing long term and start taking some health supplements instead. Now don’t shy away, it’s not as bad as it seems and there is good deal of nutrition in these foods. I often get told by individuals that they just cannot stomach the stuff even though they have never taken them.

The Real Truth Behind The Hoodia Oprah Connection

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008
by Reagan Miers

When surfing the Internet for hoodia gordonii, you may have read there is a hoodia Oprah connection. You may have seen websites that claim Oprah uses hoodia, or that she has endorsed a particular hoodia product on her show. Would it surprise you to hear that these statements may not be true?

I’ve seen some claims that hoodia was “seen on Oprah” or that “Oprah uses hoodia,” but I haven’t seen any evidence to support these claims. I’ve never heard of hoodia being featured on her television show nor have I read anything that supports the claims that she has used it. In fact, if you go to her website and search for the term, “hoodia” or “hoodia Oprah” you don’t get any search results. Until I can find concrete evidence that she talked about it on her television show or that she uses it, I don’t believe there is any Oprah hoodia connection as far as her television show is concerned.
