Part-1 High protein diets are very effective way to build lean body mass. It has been a beneficial technique for athletes and body builders. People who are wanting to lose weight will benefit from these diets as it will increase your resting metabolic rate as the muscular-skeletal tissue increases. ( gain muscle tissue, while your body burns fat.)

High protein diet is favored by many athletes and body builders and are now growing in popularity among regular dieters. High-protein diets are rich in saturated fat and sodium and low in calcium, magnesium and potassium. They tend to increase the LDL (”bad” cholesterol )-can cause a buildup of fat and cholesterol in the walls of your blood vessels and if high for many years, can clog the arteries to your heart or brain.) High-protein diets are criticized because they encourage loss of muscle mass as opposed to loss of body fat.

The high protein diet contains animal and vegetable meals, oils and vitamins and mineral supplements. It is not easy though, to eat nothing but meat all day. The high protein diet is a low calorie diet and believe to suppress the appetite, and dehydrates the body. These high protein diets do not have the essential nutrients to maintain life, but puts stress on your organs, and can also decrease your muscle mass.

The way you look and how you feel about yourself is how you treat your body. By following the guidelines and getting plenty of exercise, you will be able to control your weight. It is a sensible idea or concept, but very risky and damages our kidneys and liver especially long term. The key is to choose and select the best sources of protein. Red meat is the best source of protein, but is very difficult for our body to break it down. It requires or needs our liver and kidneys to work harder or exert more effort and on top of this, is a source of unhealthy cholesterol which is bad for your health.

The dieters, best sources of protein are soy and whey. Soy and whey are healthy foods for the heart. Soy protein is absorbed slowly, therefore you feel full until your next meal is due. Combining these two protein sources will control your cravings while you reduce your overall food intake.

High-protein/low-carbohydrates diets have been criticized by many medical practitioners and nutritionists. It is a diet that is high in animal protein and fat and has many health risks. Diets high in protein strain your kidneys and liver. The liver and kidneys break down protein and flush away the extra nitrogen that is created during the process. These diets cause constipation because they are composed mainly of foods, (meat, fish and cheese) completely free of dietary fiber. Low-fiber diets are believed to cause varicose veins, hemorrhoids and hiatus hernia as well.
