Is Alzheimer’s And Hypertension Interrelated?
It’s stunning but it’s true. The American Heart Association reports that 73 million, that is one third of adult Americans suffer from hypertension. Two million children and teenagers are also affected by high blood pressure. High blood pressure is said to have occurred when blood flows through arteries with higher than normal force. Genetic inheritance, high salt consumption or thickenings of arterial walls are the major reasons behind this.
Due to high blood pressure, the risk of heart attack, stroke, and aneurysm are more for the people who have it than those who are not affected high blood pressure. Now modern medical science has found that high blood pressure is also responsible for Alzheimer’s disease; it reduced the flow of sufficient blood in the brain. That may lead to this dreaded disease as our brain needs to have ample supply of oxygen all the time.
