With Nintendo Wii, they can work out and play a video game all at the same time. What’s evenbetter is its great for people of many age groups, whether it be grandparents, parents and kids-wholesome entertainment for the complete family.

But Wii fit is not just about entertainment and gaming, there is more to it. It is not only extremely engaging but playing it can actually benefit your health. With its special motion-sensing controllers the game is designed for hardcore gamers as well as other people. Four main domains that are covered by Wii include: yoga, strength training, aerobic exercise, balance training. Another unique accessory that comes with your Wii kit is a scale that you can stand on while playing. Difficult to believe? The Disadvantages of Cardiovascular Exercise

Friday, September 19th, 2008
by Kyle Richey

There is one thing which is a certainty in the area of losing fat and building muscle - this is that exercise is an essential element. Everyone knows that more calories must be burned off than taken in in order to lose weight - and of course, to gain muscle mass, the muscles must be worked out. Despite that everyone knows this; there is still much debate and many misconceptions about how best to lose weight while building muscle. There is a wrong way to go about this, however; this is to do only cardiovascular workouts.

Cardiovascular exercise has a reputation for being the best way to lose weight, but this reputation is entirely undeserved. It can take as much as ten hours (!) every week to lose weight and this weight loss is minimal; about a pound. You will also experience a plateau of weight loss if you are doing the same exercises all the time - so you can keep working out very hard while getting nowhere!

Reasons Why Interval Training is Superior to Cardio

by Kyle Richey

It’s hard to find people who aren’t interested in both losing weight and gaining muscle mass. However, there are a lot of different training systems out there and it can be difficult to tell systems which have been proven to work and those which have just been put out there to make a fast buck. You don’t have to spend all of your time at the weight bench to get that body you’ve always wanted - and you ought not to believe everything you hear on the infomercials either.

The best way to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time is to focus on your entire body, which is what interval training actually does. Instead of trying to run for hours a week and notice only a change in your legs, you should focus on training all of the different muscle groups in order to lose weight evenly throughout your entire body.
