This Is What You Need To Know About Job Hunting…
You have two choices after you have gone in for the interview. One is wait for them to call you. The other is follow up with them and ask good questions. Never just sit and wait for them to call.
Look at this example, if two like minded individuals apply for the same position at a company. The first one just goes home after the interview and waits for a call.
The second individual makes a follow up call two or three days later to see how his application is going. The first gentleman does not make a follow up call and still waits at his home. Who do you think will get the job?
Keep in mind the first applicant was more qualified for the job, but he did not get it.
You will not get a job unless you follow up and show more interest than the other applicants. In any business, online or brick and mortar always follow up. It will bring you more success than you can imagine.
If you are still looking for a job, here are some tips on how to follow up on your contacts:
* Send a thank you note right after the interview, ideally after a couple of days. This is a way of getting the prospective employer to hear from you again. Should you not get hired for the current position that they offer, someone from that company will likely keep your information on file for future consideration.
* Do not forget to leave your contact information with them such as your cell phone and your email address.
* Make sure you alert your references so they are aware they might get a call.
* Be Positive.
