Why Most Of Us Choose White Wedding Dress
When it comes to your wedding day and wearing a wedding gown a white wedding dress is what women are likely to choose. From early age they envision themselves while walking down the aisle making eye contact with there soulmate wearing a wedding gown which is most likely in there thoughts to be white of color.
Because of its symbolism, beauty and aura about it white is the color choosen for most wedding dresses these days. It is and has being a tradition that the bride on their wedding day wear a white wedding dress.
Growing up watching television shows most that have weddings the bride is more then likely wearing white, so society as well as tradition believe white is the right color too choose.
In the year 1840, the marriage of Queen Victoria to Albert of Saxe-Coburg which was her cousin set the tone to the tradition of wearing a white wedding dress. It was to show her wealth because the dress was made out of pure white fabric which was expensive. The tradition of extravagant white dresses was adopted.
Their is something about the color white that symbolizes purity and in turn symbolizes the bride. Purity can also represent the marriage and what represents the marriage is the marriage vows between groom and bride. Beauty also refers to the color white. Seeing a bride in her white wedding gown is seeing a picture of beauty it is the visual perception about it.
Most brides continue the tradition of wearing a white wedding dress. Today countless fashion styles and trends are appearing and the style of wearing different shades of colors when it comes to wedding dresses is emerging.
For brides who do not quite feel right about wearing the color white for what ever reason, there are alternatives. There are lots of other choices out there when it comes to the color of wedding dresses.
For some people, tradition is important to them. Some brides who need to follow the tradition of white wedding dress can still put accent with the colors of their choice. Other shades of color can accent their shoes, flowers and accessories.
